Developer

Deep Space Robots is looking for a dev with both backend and frontend capabilities that is skilled in JavaScript, and ideally also competent in WordPress and Craft CMS frameworks. This is a full-time position open to local, hybrid, or remote workers.

We are a software development company headquartered in Dallas, TX. For more than a decade, we’ve been steadily growing and creating high quality websites, APIs, applications, and web-based platform solutions for companies across all industries.

As a Developer you’ll be working on a wide array of projects on production teams ranging from 3-10 members, including project managers, UI/UX designers, front-end engineers, and testing engineers. We’re looking for someone with a strong understanding of the JavaScript coding language, as well as WordPress and Craft CMS frameworks who is capable of building great frontend and backend products.

  • Flexible: We want someone who can work effectively in both pre-existing codebases, and on greenfield projects.
  • Rigorous: We want someone who can take an "ok" solution and optimize it. Whether you're optimizing for performance, clarity, portability, or scalability, we want someone who enjoys taking a product from good to great.

Skills we're looking for:

  • Capable with JS tools for building frontend applications, specifically: React and React Native.
  • Capable with CMS frameworks, specifically: WordPress and Craft CMS
  • Familiar with server-side tools, specifically Express, and PostgreSQL
  • Competent using Typescript
  • Can translate high-fidelity design documents into built frontend components.
  • Experienced using git for version control

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience using Expo to manage React Native projects
  • Experience with Vue
  • Familiar with MVC software architecture
