I’m excited to introduce Lillian Edwards, Director of Business Development! I sat down with Lillian for a brief interview to chat more about her role at DSR, what she’s excited about working on, and what she likes most about working at Deep Space Robots.

Meet Lillian, Director of Business Development

Lillian made her debut at Deep Space Robots about a year and a half ago. She’s originally from Kansas City where she was born and raised. Lillian attended Baylor University (sic ‘em!) in Waco before moving up to the Dallas area in 2016. All in all she’s been a Texas resident for roughly 10 years 🤠.

As Director of Business Development, Lillian does a little bit of everything, ranging from marketing, to sales, relational management, and administrative tasks. So her days are never the same. However, Lillian’s sweet spot is relational management with DSR’s current and potential clients. A lot of the time you’ll find her meeting with potential clients; hearing their needs, talking about where they have holes in their organization that we can help fill, and having a conversation about their vision and what they would like to see in the future.

Those conversations are really cool and incredibly fun. I love getting to interact with all different kinds of people.

Lillian’s also been dipping her toes into the marketing side of things, such as managing social media, running LinkedIn adds, etc.

It’s a little bit of everything and I feel like I’m always learning something new. It’s a really fun job!

What’s Got You Excited Right Now?

One of Lillian’s favorite things is being a part of those early conversations with potential clients where she gets to brainstorm new ideas and talk about their vision. She’s excited about growing in her technical knowledge so that she can be even more involved when those conversations take a technical turn.

I love just coming up with new ideas so if I can be in those conversations with companies, then that’s always just a blast for me to be a part of and a great opportunity to be creative.

Let’s Talk Deep Space

One thing that really drew Lillian in at the beginning was the level of positivity from the executive team at Deep Space.

Everybody was just really friendly and I felt like it would be a great work culture, and I was right.

In her time at Deep Space Robots she can attest to the great work culture here, which emphasizes work-life balance and pushes her to be better every day.

I’m also really inspired by everyone’s different interests and talents. It’s a really cool environment to be in because I feel challenged, both creatively and in my work ethic.

Final Notes

When Lillian isn’t developing new business relationships at Deep Space, you can find her spending time with her friends and family, trying out new recipes, or exploring interior design.

We are so grateful to have her on our team! Thank you for all that you do Lillian!
