CV Global approached us, seeking help on an ambitious project with a tight deadline. They had a handful of guiding designs for a reimagining of their main website, as well as a list of technical goals for what they hoped their new site could accomplish, but they needed a finished product in 4 months.
Part of the initial challenge, particularly given the timeline, was the amount of details yet to be decided for the project. CV knew they wanted their website to reflect a refocus on their resources and offerings, but were not yet sure what pages, messaging, and functionality would best accomplish this goal.
Our design team stepped in and collaborated with their lead designer to complete the remaining desktop and mobile designs, working closely with CV’s team to determine page requirements and turning around finished work in tandem. Unlike typical design projects, this combined both discovery and design in one phase.
A challenge with this approach was to ensure that progress did not stall, and CV’s team helped immensely to focus in on what truly mattered for a 4 month delivery date. The goal was speed, and so our design team focused on creating reusable components that helped bring dozens of pages to life in a few short weeks.
In an effort to accomplish a lot in a short window, our development team worked with CV during the design phase to better understand their technical needs. They determined the best framework, carefully bulk-imported all of CV’s previous content (which included a substantial video library of free evangelistic training courses), and set to work on creating the components.
CV had a 3rd-party service that managed a library of evangelism courses their users could take. Our team imported this content and built out an entire course management, engagement, and progress tracking suite directly into CV’s new website.
A core goal for CV was that their site be editable by anyone on their team, regardless of technical skill. To accomplish this, our development team created dozens of reusable components to empower CV’s team to build any page or article they could want.
When it was all said and done, our team helped guide CV Global’s leadership from idea to implementation, and delivered a fully designed website, in time for their requested delivery date.
