Billy Graham Evangelistic Association wanted to digitize their Peace With God tract series for missionaries to access, regardless of their location or internet connection. With the move to digital, several quality-of-life features could also be introduced. We partnered with them to release this cross-platform mobile app.
For years, Christians around the world have been using "tracts", or paperback pamphlets to help guide them in their evangelism efforts. Missionaries risking their lives when sharing the gospel have had to find clever ways to disguise these tools, and everyday believers can find them difficult to keep on hand and ready to use.
BGEA recognized the need to eliminate paper, move into the modern age of digital, and track these conversations and connections in order for new believers to move beyond salvation and into discipleship.
Deep Space Robots partnered with BGEA to create an interactive mobile app to digitize the evangelism tracts that BGEA has been utilizing for many years. This mobile app guides the user in their conversation about the gospel. The app provides the user with a secure and simple way to submit forms to BGEA with the new believer's contact information after the gospel conversation is conducted.
In an effort to protect missionaries in closed countries, the app is available offline and all personal data is deleted from the app once it has been submitted to the BGEA backend system. DSR built a backend admin system for easy editing within the app and provided full integration with existing BGEA tracking and data systems.
The team also created an advanced filtering system to help missionaries find previous individuals they've evangelized to. With the desire to add more conversations and topics to the app in future versions, our team accounted for this functionality and created a system that supports the addition of new conversation topics and multiple languages.
